Paries Augusta Nyeswah
Founder & President, African Federation of Beauty Professionals Authority (AFBPA)

Paries Augusta Nyeswah is a beauty entrepreneur, business strategist, industry advocate, and visionary leader dedicated to transforming Africa's beauty industry into a globally respected, professionally recognized, and economically empowered sector.
As the founder of Rosie The Glam Factory, one of Ghana's growing beauty brands, Paries has spent years working directly with beauty professionals across multiple disciplines — including hairstyling, makeup artistry, nail technology, esthetics, wig making, beauty education, and salon management. Through these experiences, she developed a deep understanding of both the opportunities and challenges facing the industry.
She recognized that while the beauty sector employs thousands of people across Africa and contributes significantly to entrepreneurship, youth employment, women's empowerment, tourism, and the creative economy, it remains largely fragmented and informal. Many talented professionals lack access to certification, structured career pathways, industry representation, professional recognition, and long-term economic security.
Motivated by a desire to create meaningful and lasting change, Paries founded the African Federation of Beauty Professionals Authority (AFBPA), a continental initiative designed to unite beauty professionals, establish professional standards, promote certification and accreditation, support workforce development, improve industry visibility, and create opportunities for sustainable growth across Africa.
"Africa's beauty professionals deserve recognition, opportunity, standards, and a voice. AFBPA exists to unite, empower, and elevate the industry for generations to come."— Paries Augusta Nyeswah
Her vision is rooted in inclusion rather than exclusion. She believes that every beauty professional — regardless of educational background, location, or current status — should have access to training, recognition, professional advancement, and economic opportunity. Through AFBPA, she is leading the development of a unified beauty ecosystem that connects professionals, businesses, training institutions, governments, investors, development partners, and consumers under a common framework of excellence, accountability, and growth.
To elevate the beauty industry across Africa through professionalism, standards, certification, innovation, advocacy, and opportunity.
To build Africa's most trusted beauty professional ecosystem and become the leading authority for beauty standards, workforce development, certification, and industry growth across the continent.
Paries envisions a future where African beauty professionals are recognized as skilled contributors to national development, where beauty businesses operate within structured and supportive systems, and where the industry serves as a powerful vehicle for job creation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic transformation across the continent.
